The BHP Jansen Potash Mine is a significant industrial construction project in Saskatchewan. Ledcor is responsible for the Headframe Project, contributing to the development of this major mining operation.

As a General Gas Fitter, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and testing gas mains and distribution pipes. You will also install and service natural gas filling stations, test and replace defective equipment or components, and ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities of the gas fitters include,

• Demonstrate knowledge of industrial piping systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, job specifications, codes, and procedures
• Follow safe work practices
• Determine correct piping, equipment, and devices
• Install, repair, and test gas mains and distribution pipes
• Install and service natural gas filling stations
• Test and replace defective equipment or components

Requirements for the gas fitters include,

• Must be ticketed by the Technical Safety Authority of Saskatchewan (TSASK) or willing to register.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Gas Fitting
• Motivated, self-starter with the ability to work under minimal supervision
• Ability to successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing and criminal background check
• Elevated Work Platform certification is an asset
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies
