Jardeg is hiring labourers, scaffolders, and carpenters for the BHP Jansen Potash Mine construction project in Saskatchewan. The BHP Jansen Potash Mine Project, located in near Saskatoon in Saskatchewan, is set to become the largest potash mine in the world, producing 4.35 megatons annually once operational.
Scaffolders
Scaffolders will be responsible for erecting and dismantling scaffold systems safely and efficiently, inspecting all scaffold systems for compliance and safety, and assisting with general carpentry tasks as needed.
Scaffolders must have CSTS-2020 / SCOT certification, WHMIS 2015, Fall Protection certification, a valid Driver's License, and AWP Training. Scaffolders are also required to have 6" CSA-approved work boots for safety.
Labourers
Labourers will handle various tasks including concrete work, jackhammering, bush hammering, backfilling, dewatering, and running compaction equipment. Labourers will assist with concrete pours and perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
They must have CSTS-2020 / SCOT certification, WHMIS 2015, a valid Driver's License, and Ground Disturbance 201 certification. While concrete experience is preferred, it is not mandatory for the role.
Carpenters
Carpenters will be responsible for building formwork for concrete structures such as grade beams and walls. They will assist with layout tasks and pouring concrete, measure and cut materials, and operate power tools.
Carpenters must have a Carpenter Apprenticeship (3rd or 4th year) or Journeyperson status, as well as CSTS/SCOT, WHMIS, Fall Protection, AWP, and Confined Space training. Experience with industrial concrete work is essential.
