The Strathcona Refinery Renewable Diesel Expansion project (SHRED) in Edmonton, Alberta, is currently seeking skilled workers to join its construction team. This presents an excellent opportunity for excavator operators, welders, and carpenters, especially those with experience in the oil and gas and construction industries. The project offers a 14-day on, 7-day off work rotation with options for living out allowances (LOA) or flights and accommodations non local equipment operators.
- 14/7 work rotation with alternating day and night shifts
- 10-hour workdays with overtime opportunities

- Immediate openings for B-Pressure Welders and Carpenter Apprentices
- Candidates must pass a SureHire Drug, Alcohol, & 50lb Fitness to work test

Additionally, B-Pressure Welders and Carpenter Apprentices are being hired for Monday-Friday shifts including overtime hours. Non local candidates for these roles must cover their own travel and living expenses at this time.
SHRED, the Strathcona Refinery Renewable Diesel Expansion project, is located in Edmonton, Alberta, and is part of Imperial Oil’s ambitious plans for renewable diesel production. The project aims to produce one billion liters of biofuel annually by utilizing canola, soy, and sunflower oils in conjunction with hydrogen produced from natural gas, with carbon-sequestration facilities. This endeavor will make it the largest facility of its kind in Canada and will support up to 600 construction jobs in Alberta.
