When it comes to remote camp catering, North Country Catering is leading the way. They are responsible for catering many oil and gas drilling camps across Northern Canada. Please note that all job positions mentioned below following common requirements.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to climb ladders or stairs.
  • Do a combination of standing, walking, squatting, kneeling or sitting.
  • Ability to perform repetitive hand work, which requires full use of both hands.
  • Ability to work with arms above shoulder height.

Lodge Services Manager – Reporting to the General Manager, the Lodge Services Manager position is responsible for the overall organization and efficient accommodation and catering operation of North Country Catering facilities, including, but not limited to, employee relations, performance management, administration, supply procurement, sanitation, hygiene, and safety.

Chef – Reporting to the Lodge Services Manager, the Chef position is responsible for the overall organization and efficient operation of the kitchen area, including, but not limited to staff scheduling, performance management, inventory management, menu planning, menu production and quality control.

Sous Chef – Reporting to the Lodge Services Manager, the Sous Chef position is responsible for assisting the overall organization and efficient operation of the kitchen area, including, but not limited to, staff scheduling, performance management, inventory management, menu planning, menu production and quality control.

Baker – Reporting to the Chef, the Baker position is responsible for the planning and preparation of a large variety of baked goods as per North Country Catering requirements.

First Cook – Reporting to the Chef, the First Cook position is responsible for the planning and preparation of catering services as per North Country Catering requirements.

Second Cook – Reporting to the Chef or Baker, the Second Cook position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout North Country Catering facilities. Responsibilities of a Second Cook include breakfast and dinner preparation, serving of hot food items and etc.

Third Cook – Reporting to the Chef or Baker, the Third Cook position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout North Country Catering facilities. Responsibilities of a Third Cook include salad and sandwich preparation, general kitchen help and etc.

General Helper – Reporting to the Chef or Baker, the General Helper position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout North Country Catering facilities. Responsibilities of a General Helper include roles such as dining hall attendant and dishwasher.

Head Camp Attendant – Reporting to the Lodge Services Manager, the Head Camp Attendant position supervises all Camp Attendants and Janitors. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining a cleaning regimen that reflects the high standards of North Country Catering facilities.

Camp attendant – Reporting to the Head Camp Attendant, the Camp Attendant position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout North Country Catering facilities.

Janitor – Reporting to the Head Camp Attendant, the Janitor position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment throughout North Country Catering facilities.

Clerk – Reporting to the Lodge Services Manager, the Clerk position is a non-supervisory role, responsible for providing customer service to guests and employees in regards to site accommodation throughout North Country Catering facilities.
