  1. Labourers
  • Concrete experience
  • Jackhammering
  • Bushhammering
  • Assisting with concrete pours
  • Pouring experience
  • Backfilling
  • Dewatering
  • Running compaction equipment
  • Identify and report hazardous or unsafe areas
  • Identify necessary tools
  • Understand and use hand signals
  • General housekeeping

Requirements for labourers include,

  • CSTS-2020 / SCOT
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ground Disturbance 201
  • Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  1. G1 Operators
  • Experience running excavators
  • Finishing grade with skid steer and dozer for excavation
  • Backfilling and transporting materials
  • Other duties as requested

Requirements for G1 operators include,

  • Valid certificates for the operation of a Skid Steer
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience operating equipment in an industrial workplace
  • CSTS 2020 or SCOT
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test
  1. Finishing Skid Steer Operators
  • Ditching and backfilling gasline boreholes
  • Finish slab on grade and grade prep for concrete formwork (must be able to finish within 20mm or less with a skid steer)
  • Placing common (clay) and aggregate (gravel) for backfill around foundations
  • Finishing grade with skid steer
  • Backfilling and transporting materials
  • Other duties as requested

Requirements for skid steer operators include

  • Valid certificates for the operation of a Skid Steer
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating equipment in an industrial workplace
  • CSTS 2020 or SCOT
  • WHMIS 2015
  • Valid Driver’s License and a clean driver’s abstract
  • Completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test

The BHP Jansen Potash Project is a large-scale industrial construction project located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, SK. Once completed, it will be the world’s largest potash mine, generating 4.35 megatons of potash annually starting in 2026.
