The Kearl Oil Sands Project is an oil sands mine located in the heart of Athabasca Oil Sands region. It is located at the Kearl Lake area which is approximately 70 Km north of Fort McMurray, Alberta. The Imperial Oil Resources owns 70% of the Kearl Oil Sands Project and ExxonMobil Canada Ltd. owns 30%.
