They are hiring for over 10 positions including all kinds of Cooks (1st, 2nd, and breakfast), Chefs, Bakers, General Helpers, Clerks, Housekeeping, and many more. See the list below for all positions currently hiring. All positions mentioned below include full camp accommodations including meals and lodging. All camps are located throughout Northern Alberta. You must be able to work away from home for a long periods of time. Full time positions including multiple rotation schedules. Great pay and benefits for those who get hired.

Lodge Manager – responsible for the daily management and organization of our lodges ensuring clean accommodations, excellent meal service, efficient friendly customer service and an all-around pleasant stay for our customers. Key Duties include,

  • Overseeing all onsite staff and maintaining acceptable staff ratio levels
  • Ordering and approving all onsite consumables
  • Performing regular audits of kitchens, accommodations and safety operations
  • Maintaining acceptable supply costs
  • Always ensure you are representing Canada North in a clean, professional yet friendly manner

Chef – responsible for the daily management and organization of our lodge kitchens and dining rooms. They ensure clean kitchens, dining rooms, excellent meal service, efficient friendly customer service and an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers. Key Duties include,

  • Ordering for all food service needs
  • Maintain menus that have acceptable levels of food costs, production while minimizing food wastage
  • Prepare, present and serve high quality meals
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices
  • Inventory control and reporting

First Cook – are to assist the Chef in the daily management and organization of our lodge kitchens and dining rooms. They help ensure clean kitchens, dining rooms, excellent meal service, efficient friendly customer service and an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers. Key Duties include,

  • Assist with ordering for all food service needs
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of food costs and production
  • Prepare, present and serve high quality meals
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices
  • Assist in inventory control and reporting

Second Cook – our valued support system for our chefs and first cooks. You are responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers. Key Duties include,

  • Assist with ordering for food service needs
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of food costs and production
  • Prepare Sandwiches, Salad bar and help prep for meals
  • Prepare, present and serve high quality meals
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices

Baker – our sweetest employee is responsible for providing baked goods for snacking, bagged lunches and desserts, as well as freshly made bread and rolls to complement our fine meals. Key Duties include,

  • Communication with the Chef regarding menus of desserts
  • Ordering of all baking needs
  • Preparation and presentation of high quality snacks and desserts
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of food costs and production
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices

Breakfast Cook – prepare morning smiles for our customers. You are responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of breakfast items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to a pleasant “Good Morning” dining experience. Key Duties include,

  • Assist with ordering food service needs in your area
  • Maintaining acceptable levels of food costs and production
  • Prepare breakfast, salad bar and all condiments for meals
  • Prepare, present and serve high quality meals
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North Camps safety practices

General Helper – are a key position in our kitchens. You are responsible to the Chef while maintaining a clean, well stocked, safe work environment in our Lodge kitchens and dinning rooms. Key Duties include,

  • Assist with ordering for food service needs in your area
  • Assist on service line during meal hours
  • Ensure dinning area is stocked and organized for the customer
  • Cleaning in kitchen and dinning areas
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices

Housekeeper – keeping customers healthy and happy. As a Housekeeper you are responsible for cleaning sleeping quarters as well as maintaining cleanliness in the lodge common areas while maintaining safe work environment. Key Duties include,

  • Assist with ordering cleaning supplies
  • Maintain company cleaning standards of bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas
  • Making beds and laundry of linens
  • Washing of walls, floors, ceilings and windows to company cleaning standards
  • Ensure staff follow all Canada North safety practices

Clerk – you are the person who welcomes the guest and starts the home-away-from-home experience. Our clerks are friendly, outgoing and remain calm when confronted with issues. A clerk must have excellent computer and multi-tasking skills and assist the manager with administrative duties. Key Duties include,

  • Assist Manager with administrative duties
  • Accurate data entry for billing purposes
  • Daily reports to head office
  • Recording of daily tailgate meetings and weekly safety meetings
  • Always ensure you are representing Canada North in a clean, professional yet friendly manner

Warehouse – The warehouse is heart for the distribution of the life blood to remote lodge operations. It is your job to keep Canada North organized by managing people, stock and equipment effectively. Key Duties include,

  • Organize and manage equipment and stock
  • Coordinate the efficient shipping and receiving of goods
  • Operate in accordance with Canada North’s safety culture
  • Organize and manage daily tasks of warehouse staff
